Salida Nightlife
From cafés to taverns, shows, concerts, and outdoor summer events, there’s bound to be something going on in Downtown Salida on any given night.

Live music every Thursday at 6 p.m.; the Oldest and Boldest Whitewater Festival ‒ FIBArk; Moonlight Movies; 4th of July Fireworks and Entertainment; the Brewer’s Rendez-vous - it all happens right here, in a green space along the Arkansas river, in the shade of the cottonwood trees, right across the street from the Palace Hotel.

Premier venues include the Steamplant Event Center, The Victoria Tavern, and the newly opened, River’s Edge (on the banks of the Arkansas, adjacent to the Steamplant). Virtuosity Gallery
Located inside The Palace Hotel | 719.221.8964
From time to time, you’re bound to find a circle of the usual suspects, clad in Colorado casual, huddled up with mandolins and banjos, picking out an old timey tune, next to an easel ripe with Joshua Been’s newest work.
Virtuosity Gallery, located in the lobby of the newly restored Palace Hotel, is home to the artwork of Joshua Been. Been’s interdisciplinary approach to life in the 21st century is reflected in paintings where impressionism and texture meet realism and truth in landscape. We invite you to stop in and take a minute to see the world through a different lens. There’s a good chance you’ll get to meet the artist, and if you’re lucky, even enjoy a tune or two.
