If you are going through the Salida area and don’t stay at the Palace you will miss an opportunity. The rooms are huge and well appointed. We were served a lovely continental breakfast in our room as part of our stay. The attention to detail of this hotel is well appreciated.

We wanted something special for last night of our vacation for my husband's birthday, not a chain lodging. This boutique hotel ("edgy Victorian") was a WELCOME surprise. Location in Salida couldn't be beat; everything was walk-ably close.Everyone on staff was wonderful, worked as a team and we could tell they are like a family!

I have stayed at the Palace many times and every time in a different suite. This stay was in 207, with double doors. Each stay has been unique, but all delightful. Friendly staff, great ambience, everything clean, neat and beautiful. The rooms are furnished with antiques, which definitely adds to the charm.

This is a great place to stay if visiting Salida. A lot of history in this hotel. Within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. Very clean and curteous! Make sure to ask about the bullet hole. Great staff. Would definitely go back!

We stayed in room 306 and loved the large windows overlooking the river. Everything was clean and fresh. The staff was wonderful and attentive. Our smoke detector started beeping in the evening, so I called the after-hours maintenance number and someone took care of it in under 5 minutes. If you are looking for a well-maintained historic hotel for a romantic getaway, stay at the Palace. It is well worth the price.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean. Breakfast was good. I would happily go back again. We went on a Sunday night when no one was around. I liked having a corner room because we could see in 2 directions. No complaints!

Very comfortable bed, well appointed room. Quiet! Great location, easy walk to restaurants, river walk, etc. Room had kitchenette for making snacks, etc. Freshly baked muffins & yogurt delivered to room each morning. Excellent coffee.

The room was extremely spacious and really nicely decorated. Some older hotels go too vintage, this room was just right. Modern amenities, great bed linens and towels but stylish and period appropriate decor. Everything was very clean. Nicely appointed kitchenette. Very nice place to stay.
