The 30th annual Ride the Rockies cycling tour will spend the night in Salida during the weeklong (June 13-20) ride through the Colorado Rockies. Riders will pedal into Salida via Cottonwood Pass and Buena Vista, then depart for Cañon City on June 19. ridetherockies.com

Greater Arkansas River Nation Association is partnering with Land Trust of the Upper Arkansas to bring the Wild and Scenic Film Festival, a renowned tour of the latest, cutting-edge environmental films to Salida and Buena Vista. Indie Spirit Film Festival on The Arkansas featuring 25 independent films will be held from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at The SteamPlant Theater and Annex.
